HOWARD HALL
Group Managing Director
Howard Hall founded DTP from the attic bedroom at his grandparents house in 1987 and has led the business ever since. He has studied at both the Harvard Business School and Cranfield School of Management, and is a true entrepreneur and a respected IT visionary. His business philosophy is based upon building long-term relationships with partners and clients by delivering long-term value. Born from his partnerships with HP and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Howard has previously been selected to sit on the HP Worldwide Advisory Council and now holds a position on the HPE GreenLake Worldwide Council. Howard is the founding Chairman of Solutionpath, a software-as-a-service provider to the education sector.
Howard also sits as a Board member for Byte Night Leeds, the UK’s largest corporate sleepout event bringing together individuals and teams from the technology and business services, and is a committee member for This is Me Yorkshire, a mental health charity which seeks to end the stigma attached to mental health in the workplace.
STEVEN CLEGG
CFO and COO
Steven Clegg, FCCA, provides strategic business partnering in support of our growth plans. He is dedicated to the finance team’s provision of financial insight, planning and risk management.
Steven holds an MBA from Leeds University Business School, sits on the Board of the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds and is Treasurer for his local Pre-school.
GEMMA SKELLEY
Head of Marketing
Gemma Skelley oversees the marketing function at DTP Group and is responsible for the development and execution of the DTP marketing strategy to support business growth.
Drawing upon over 19 years in both the public and private sectors, with many of those spent in the technology industry, Gemma and her team of high performing marketeers take a creative approach to the delivery of digital first go-to-market activity to create awareness, drive demand and build brand loyalty. And as brand ambassador for the Group, Gemma guides internal and external communications to promote DTP’s reputation as an innovative, trusted IT partner.
Gemma sits as a Trustee on the Board of Leeds Hospitals Charity, the charity partner for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. And is a member of HPE’s Worldwide Marketing Advisory Board.
GARY SMITH
Divisional Head of Sales
Far from being a stereotypical sales professional, Gary exudes a pragmatic energy in his own propositions, people leadership, thought leadership, technology designs and programmatic ideas. He strongly believes that sales is ‘all about the story and the experience’ and that sales, as a profession, must continually modernise to it’s audiences needs today and in the future.
Knowledge collated from over 30 years in the IT sector, Gary has a rich and diverse experience of both direct sales and channel sales at influential levels. An energetic human, he loves nothing better than beating himself up trail running for miles and miles in/on/up the North Yorkshire Moors, or walking his Chihuahua for miles on a beach, followed by a cold Guinness and a chat with whoever in a nice pub. His pet hates – voicemail and hotels without an omelette chef. His big loves – the outdoors, amazing burgers, dogs, and warm sunshine.
